2009

• Bright Eye Clinic was opened on the 15th floor of Gangnam Kyobo Tower.

 

First VisuMax installation in Asia

• SMILE LASIK equipment VisuMax laser was introduced for the first time in Asia.

• CEO Cheon Hyun-Chul obtained SMILE LASIK official certification.
• Announced SMILE LASIK research results at the Asia-Pacific Society of Refractive Laser Surgery.

2015

• Dr. Pallikaris, a founder of LASIK Surgery, visited Bright Eye Clinic.
• Attending ASCRS American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Symposium.

2017

• CEO Cheon Hyun-Chul announced the results of Smile LASIK research at the Korean Ophthalmological Society meeting.

Chapter 2
Large-scale expansion of the operating room on the 17th floor of Gangnam Kyobo Tower.

2020

• Expansion of operating room, additional installment of VisuMax (3 lasers).
• Establishment of cataract air shower sterilization system.
• Phys IOL Cataract Master Award.

2021

• Completed large-scale renewal of outpatient center and dry eye treatment (IPL) room.

Chapter 3
Achieved 100,000 cases of SMILE LASIK.



2022

• Officially certified for achieving 100,000 cases of SMILE LASIK by ZEISS, developer of VisuMax.

• Attended 'ZEISS 2022' SMILE Forum and shared SMILE LASIK clinical researches.
• Attended APACRS Asia Pacific Cataract and Refractive Surgery Society.

2023

• Installment of the newest Smile Pro equipment - VisuMax 800.
• Linking treatment with overseas general hospitals and developing treatments for the underprivileged in ophthalmology.
